5 star ratingThe fish plates Fred creates in this small restaurant are simply sensational. We visited 2 evenings on the trot, it was so good. His buffalo monk fish is gorgeous, the haddock fish cakes just as good. Another glory are Fred's potatoes, a must order, which are the best I've ever tasted. Make sure you book. It's not very big and not open every day of the week.

5 star ratingBest fish we’ve ever eaten! And sitting at the bar so we could watch Fred and Dan work the kitchen and chat with them was special. Fish so fresh, straight out of the English Channel in the Looe Bay. Do not miss!

4 star ratingThe reviews of the food are brilliant and rightly so, it is delicious, but you pay the price! Tapas style dining with most fish tapas priced at £18-24, for a small dish. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal but sadly won’t be back as we eaten at equally fabulous restaurants for half the price. Service and setting great.

4 star ratingIf you love fish and not on a tight budget this. This is not cheap but the food is good on the whole My partner didn't like like the smoked haddock scotch egg but that is a matter of personal preference. However he did love the Oysters. You order a selection of small plates and although the beef was excellent £23 was a bit expensive. If u like your puddings unfortunately these are not on offer. Overall it was a good experience.

4 star ratingMy partner had oysters which he said were the best he had ever had. However the food was really good but be aware it is very expensive. and there is a small menu which is only tapas. It has very few tables inside therefore if you want to go and the weather is likely to be bad ensure you book.

5 star ratingWe stayed in Looe for a week and after looking at reviews, decided to book The Fish Market for dinner on a Friday evening. We are extremely pleased that we did! What an amazing experience from start to finish. We had 2 small plates and a side each, which included fillet steak, monkfish, smoked haddock croquette, ciabatta, oh and Fred's spuds (WOW!). We loved the slightly different style of dining and the creativity of the menu. It's a cosy restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, you can watch Chef Fred working his magic in the kitchen and if you're lucky like we were, you can sit by the window over looking the harbour. If we visit Looe again, we will without a doubt return! I recommend booking in advance so you don't miss out!

5 star ratingA flawless meal with creative dishes and great service. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere, with an open kitchen and being personally welcomed by the chef as you enter. The menu was creative and different, with a sharing plate style. Every dish was excellent and clearly using fresh fish and top quality ingredients. Looking forward to my next visit!
